Very simply, this "dream" was developed out of a deep desire to use the creative gifts that God has given me, both physical and spiritual, to further His kingdom. As a professional interior designer and a mother of two, God began to show me that the creative talents I have are gifts from Him, and that they can be used to change people's lives. Through extensive prayer, God has led me to turn this dream into a reality by forming a non-profit organization - Kingdom Design Ministries.
The main goal of this ministry is to uplift the name of Jesus Christ. The "room makeovers" are simply the platform that allows us to bring the spirit of God into people's homes. This opportunity offers more than just a pretty new room for the receiving family. Through this service we bring families closer together in Christ, they receive hope. We strive to help the individual child realize that they are valuable in God's eyes. To assure them that despite their circumstances, He has a purpose, a plan for their lives. They can make a difference in the world because "all things are possible to him that believes" Mark 9:23
Most of all, if anyone in the family has never accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior, we pray that this ministry will open the door to that opportunity. Our job is to be obedient to the call God has placed on our lives...then, leave the results up to Him!
In Christ,
Missy Johnson

God is raising up KDM from the ashes.  Its been awhile since our last update.  God has had this ministry in a holding pattern and we have given the enemy too much latitude.  That stops today. Let me share with you what the Lord says about restoration in the 126 Psalm.

When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem,[a]    it was like a dream!  We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy An the other nations said,    “What amazing things the Lord has done for them. Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!  Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
He will restore this ministry to His glory and His purpose.  KDM's mission is to share the restoration and reconciliation that Our Father gives us freely.  Thank you to all our supports for remaining faithful.  We are anxious to see what the Lord has in store next for us.  As the word says, What amazing things the Lord has done for the and for US!  Expecting the best!...KDM

God is Good...All the Time

We have a saying at Central Point that you may have heard is God is Good...All the Time, All the time...God is good.
You know sometimes we see his goodness all around us and then other times, it seems it's harder for us to see His goodness....but its there, without fail!  Regardless of our outward circumstances, Praise God His goodness never changes. His Love was proven once and for all with Jesus's death on the cross for you and me. It's proven in His resurrection. It's proven in His mercy shown when we don't deserve it and are quick to blame Him when we feel we have no one else to blame.  He is good. He loves us!  Unconditionally.  And He IS Good.  The bible tells us that every good and perfect gift comes from above!  Sometimes the challenges and struggles of this life can haze over that.  But it is the haze of This World, Not His Goodness.  Never forget that!  He wants nothing but Good for us...All the Time.
After our fire at the offices last monday, it was hazy around our eyes trying to see God's hand, but it was there...right from the beginning.  It was there in shoulders and arms to hold us and cry with us.  It was there in new ministry friends and supporters.  It was there in the Firefighters efforts to disregard their safety, for that of others.  It was there in God raising up this ministry to His Glory in a whole new way that we never imagined.  It was most certainly there yesterday when Kingdom Design Ministries was the recipient of the proceeds from our home church's fall festival.  That community outreach event was awesome as God' love was poured out.  So if you ask me if God is Good...I'll tell you....All the time.  And I will hear the echo's of others saying, All the time....God is Good.

Oh Monday...

Monday, September 10th, our beautiful offices burned in a major fire at the Law building where our headquarters were housed.  As you can see by the picture, our space was a total loss.  We are truly blessed that no one lost their life in the blaze.  One firefighter was injured but non life threatening praise the Lord.  Our offices held all of our ministry documents as well as furniture, material donations and other items used in our room makeovers.  As we are a relatively new non profit, we had no insurance for our contents.
We have weeped and sorrowed at this tragedy, but God's word tells us, "weeping endures for the night, but Joy comes in the morning!" Praise God! it is morning!  He arose that morning and because of that we know our Redeemer lives!  This ministry is His and prayerful given to Him.  All we have is His and are is His...He will restore KDM completely.  We ask you to pray for this ministry as we go forward.  Pray for our peace and clarity of vision.  We ask you to help us be the mouthpiece for KDM by telling your friends.  Asking them to follow our blog and like our facebook page.  We are so blessed by your love and support.

Wonderful things are happening at Kingdom Design. We have identified a couple of families for room makeovers and ask that our friends be in prayer for us as we begin our journey of sharing Gods love with these families. We will be posting needs as we finalize plans and ask that you share our blog with groups and friends you may know that can help in these rooms. As we get closer, we will keep you updated on timeframes. Thank you in advance for your prayers. We eagerly await the blessings God has in store for these families..
